IXO Labs seeks an experienced hardware design specialist to author and evaluate tasks across analog, digital, mixed-signal, power or RF domains. Remote assignments are arranged by agreement, with pay per completed task and defined acceptance criteria.

Applicants should hold an electrical Master’s or PhD, or a bachelor’s with extensive industrial design experience including tape-out; proficiency with Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Electrical master’s/doctorate, or electrical bachelor’s with 8+ industrial years and 5 hands-on design years including hardware or tape-out.
• Deep expertise across analog/digital/mixed-signal, power or RF, including Thevenin and Hybrid-π models, FSMs, timing, controls, reliability, EMC and CMOS scaling.
• Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, PCB or high-speed validation experience; shipped silicon or awards are a plus.

Work you will do

• Author and evaluate tasks across the analog, digital, mixed-signal, power or RF domains relevant to your expertise.
• Check circuit models, device behavior, timing and reliability assumptions using appropriate analytical or EDA methods.
• Provide reference reasoning and grading notes that explain incorrect design choices and the evidence needed to correct them.

Preferred background

• An electrical master's/doctorate, or an electrical bachelor's with at least eight industrial years, plus five hands-on design years including produced hardware or a tape-out.
• Depth across relevant analog/digital/mixed-signal, power or RF practice, including Thevenin and Hybrid-π models, FSMs, timing, controls, reliability, EMC and CMOS scaling.
• Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, PCB or high-speed validation experience; stronger evidence includes verified silicon, standards/exam work, problem-setting, competition leadership, shipped-silicon patents, distinguished papers or research awards.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.
