IXO seeks specialists to evaluate senior hardware-design judgments through precise technical evaluations. You will craft realistic hardware scenarios using CAD, RTL, or robotics, and write clear explanations of your reasoning.

Deliverables include a technical artifact with evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks, and concise judgments. Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with pay per hour and no guaranteed volume.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor's degree and 8–12 years in hardware/mechanical design.
• Ability to write detailed technical explanations and structured evaluations.
• Ability to work independently in asynchronous settings.

IXO is engaging specialists to evaluate senior hardware-design judgments expressed through precise technical evaluations. Your contribution is technical work: make the reasoning inspectable, identify substantive errors and provide evidence that supports a reliable assessment.

Work you will do

• Create realistic scenarios in your hardware, CAD, RTL or robotics specialty.
• Develop expert reference solutions and grading criteria that capture the important technical trade-offs.
• Assess outputs for correctness, depth and practical judgment, explaining the evidence behind the decision rather than relying on credentials alone.

Required background and routes

• A relevant bachelor's and eight to twelve years in hardware/mechanical design, with current or recent hands‑on responsibility.
• Write detailed technical explanations and structured evaluations and work independently in an asynchronous setting.

Preferred background

• A master's or PE, publications/open‑source/recognized engineering output, technical reviewing, and specialist depth in CAD, robotics or RTL/HDL.

Deliverables

Submit the completed technical artifact or assessment with its supporting evidence, explicit assumptions, reproducible checks where applicable, and concise reasons for each material judgment. Address review findings within the agreed scope.

Location and schedule

Remote assignments are scheduled by agreement, with no guaranteed weekly volume. IXO confirms the applicable timing before work.

Pay and working terms

$105 $180/hr USD. The agreed hourly rate, scope, schedule and acceptance criteria are confirmed before work starts. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.
