European Payments Initiative (EPI) is building Wero, a European digital wallet to simplify payments across borders. We seek a Head of Security Operations and Corporate IT to scale security and IT services while maintaining compliance and audit readiness.

You will lead a 13-person team across Security Operations and Corporate IT, partner with Engineering and Risk/Compliance, own incident response, governance, budgets, and KPIs, and report to the COO.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 5 years leading Security Operations.
• Experience across Security Operations and Corporate IT in regulated/high-availability environments.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams with measurable service improvements.
• Fluent in English (CEFR C1/C2); additional European languages a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead and evolve the Security Operations strategy and operating model with high-quality monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and mature threat intelligence, security validation, and post-incident learning processes.
• Oversee governance, including certificate lifecycle management and enterprise cryptography from an organisational perspective.
• Lead Corporate IT strategy and operating model toward a trusted, service-oriented function with measurable performance.
• Own vendor performance and budget governance across MSPs and tooling partners with clear SLAs and reviews.
• Drive audit readiness and evidence discipline for ISO27001, PCI DSS, and related standards.
