Maison Goyard in Paris is seeking a cashier for its Parisian boutiques on a permanent contract. You will handle cash operations, complete the sales process with precision, and represent the brand with exemplary service at the counter.

The role requires mastery of cash handling, knowledge of VAT-free shopping, payments, refunds, and GDPR data accuracy. Fluent English is essential, another language is a plus, and experience with POS software (CBR Retail preferred) in luxury retail is highly valued.

Qualifications

Job Overview

Maison Goyard is looking for a cashier for its Parisian Boutiques, on a permanent contract.

Key responsibilities

In strict compliance with the Maison Goyard policy and applicable regulations, the cashier performs all transaction-related duties with rigor and accuracy. As an ambassador of the Maison, he/she completes the sales process initiated by the sales advisor, upholding Goyard’s standard of service excellence.

Payment operations:

-Open and close cash registers; perform cash register checks (including payment methods) per Maison policy;

-Process payments, returns, and exchanges;

-Ensure consistency between the sales slip, Trunk cart, and customer's package;

-Offer and process VAT refunds for foreign customers;

-Guarantee accuracy of customer data in Trunk; minimize duplicates in compliance with GDPR;

-Maintain checkout station organization and supply replenishment.

-Contribute to counter management: tidying, checklists, display changes, cleanliness, and inventories (fiscal or rolling);

-Participate actively in the Sales Counter team.

The cashier is fully integrated into the Boutique team. He/she thus attends the daily morning briefing and contributes to achieving the shop's objectives.

Required qualifications and skills

You master cash-handling techniques, local regulations (cash, tax-free shopping, payment methods) as well as Office software. Experience with point-of-sale software is required; knowledge of CBR Retail would be a plus. Methodical, autonomous and with an excellent appearance, you are comfortable in a luxury and multicultural environment, with good stress and conflict management skills.
You have experience in retail/luxury cash handling (flagship or department stores). Fluent English is required; proficiency in a third language would be appreciated.
