Mercor seeks a native Bengali annotator to build and QA transcription datasets. You will faithfully transcribe Bengali text from varied documents, bound pages, and multimodal layouts, ensuring character-level accuracy including scripts and diacritics.

Responsibilities include identifying page regions, binding them to figures or tables, recording reading order, and providing metadata about language and document type.

Qualifications

• Native Bengali speaker with full command of Bengali script and orthography.
• Excellent attention to detail and high character-level accuracy.
• Experience with document annotation, transcription, localization, or QA is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Source Bengali documents and multimodal pages for annotation.
• Identify and bound every meaningful region (title, heading, paragraph, table, figure, etc.).
• Record relationships between regions and parent figures/tables.
• Transcribe faithfully in Bengali script, flagging illegible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and handwriting/diacritics.
