The ESRF in Grenoble is seeking a technically skilled technician to join the Collaborative Research Group (CRG) Liaison Office. You will support operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of state-of-the-art beamlines built in partnership with external research institutes.

Under the supervision of the Liaison Engineer, you will monitor intervention requests, coordinate with mechanics, electronics, detectors and contractors, maintain the equipment inventory and document activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level technical qualification (2–3 years of higher education).
• Experience in installation, maintenance or operation of technical or scientific equipment.
• Good organisational, communication and coordination skills.
• Practical, problem-solving approach with willingness to learn; interest in mechanics, electronics, instrumentation and computing.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and follow up on technical intervention requests.
• Interact with ESRF support groups (mechanics, electronics, detectors, sample environment, etc.) and external contractors to ensure task completion.
• Maintain the equipment inventory.
• Provide hands-on technical support for the CRG beamlines and prepare related technical documentation.
• Participate in regular meetings with the CRG beamlines and instrument teams.
