The ESRF - The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble seeks a Beamline Technical Support Technician to join the Collaborative Research Group Liaison Office, supporting operation, maintenance and improvement of state-of-the-art beamlines.
Under the Liaison Engineer, you will coordinate with mechanics, electronics, detectors and external contractors, maintain inventory, produce technical documentation, and contribute to CRG beamline meetings.
You will join the Collaborative Research Group (CRG) Liaison Office and work closely with beamline teams, ESRF technical support groups and external partners to support the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of state-of-the-art beamlines operated in partnership with external research institutes.
Working as part of a team under the supervision of the Liaison Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
You are a technician with a background in instrumentation, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, mechanical engineering or a related technical field. You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary scientific environment where you can combine hands-on technical work with coordination activities.
You have:
Experience gained in a research laboratory, scientific facility or complex industrial environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Permanent contract.
The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
