ESRF, the European Synchrotron, based in Grenoble, France, seeks a Beamline Scientist for ID09. You will oversee operation, scientific exploitation and future development of the ID09 beamline, and work closely with international users to enable groundbreaking time-resolved X-ray experiments.

You will lead in-house research, contribute to instrument upgrades, and collaborate with the X-ray diffraction and scattering group.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field is required.
• Expertise in instrumentation and data analysis is essential.
• Proficiency with ultrafast laser systems is required.
• Experience with time-resolved X-ray experiments is essential.
• Strong publication record demonstrating research achievements.

Responsabilités

• Operate and develop ID09 beamline in time-resolved X-ray studies.
• Support visiting researchers and enable breakthrough experiments.
• Contribute to instrument upgrades and strategic development of the beamline.
• Collaborate with international users and partners.
• Lead own research program in collaboration with the beamline team.
