Astemo Angers is seeking a seasoned CAD Designer to join its engineering team. You will develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for brake systems, support product development from concept to serial production, and ensure manufacturability.

The role requires 5–10 years in CAD design, CATIA proficiency, GD&T knowledge to ISO/ASME, and strong communication in international teams, with English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education as BTS/DUT/Licence in industrial product design or equivalent.
• 5–10 years CAD design and product development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and PLM environments such as 3Dx.
• Strong 3D modelling, parametric design and drawing generation skills.
• GD&T knowledge per ISO/ASME standards.
• Detail-oriented with high-quality deliverables.
• Good communication in multidisciplinary international teams.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for automotive brake systems.
• Support product development from concept design through industrialization and serial production.
• Develop designs considering packaging, function, cost and manufacturability.
• Perform CAD feasibility, packaging assessments and vehicle-ENV analysis.
• Create and maintain manufacturing drawings, tolerances and documentation.
• Support tolerance stack-up analyses and ensure dimensional consistency.
• Manage engineering changes and CAD databases per company processes.
