Astemo Angers is seeking a CAD Designer to join our engineering team. You will develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for automotive brake systems, including hydraulic calipers and electric brake actuators, supporting product development from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has BTS/DUT/licence in industrial product design, 5–10 years CAD experience, strong CATIA V5/V6 skills, PLM experience (3Dx), and GD&T knowledge, plus fluent English.

• 5–10 years of experience in CAD design and product development.
• Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and PLM environments (3Dx).
• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, parametric design and drawings.
• GD&T knowledge per ISO/ASME standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in multidisciplinary, international teams.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Implement engineering changes and maintain CAD data and product structures.

We are currently seeking a CAD Designer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the development of world‑class products that deliver both safety and performance.

Your Core Responsibilities Include

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for automotive brake systems, including hydraulic calipers and electric brake actuators.
• Support product development activities from concept design through industrialization and serial production.
• Develop component and assembly designs considering packaging constraints, functional requirements, cost targets and manufacturability.
• Perform CAD feasibility studies, packaging assessments and integration analyses within vehicle environments.
• Generate and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, tolerance definitions, and technical documentation.
• Support tolerance stack‑up analyses and ensure dimensional consistency throughout assemblies.
• Implement engineering changes, maintain configuration management throughout product development; maintain CAD databases, product structures, and engineering documentation according to company processes.

Profile And Qualifications

• BTS / DUT / Licence or equivalent in industrial product design
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in CAD design and product development.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software CATIA V5/V6 and experience working within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments such as 3Dx.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, parametric design, assembly management and drawing generation.
• Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) according to ISO or ASME standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality engineering deliverables.
• Good communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Salary : 38-42k€
