Astemo Angers is seeking a CAD Designer to join our engineering team. You will develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for automotive brake systems, including hydraulic calipers and electric brake actuators, supporting product development from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has BTS/DUT/licence in industrial product design, 5–10 years CAD experience, strong CATIA V5/V6 skills, PLM experience (3Dx), and GD&T knowledge, plus fluent English.

Qualifications

• BTS / DUT / Licence or equivalent in industrial product design.
• 5–10 years of experience in CAD design and product development.
• Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and PLM environments (3Dx).
• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, parametric design and drawings.
• GD&T knowledge per ISO/ASME standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in multidisciplinary, international teams.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for automotive brake systems.
• Support product development activities from concept design through industrialization and serial production.
• Develop component and assembly designs considering packaging, cost, and manufacturability.
• Perform CAD feasibility studies, packaging assessments and integration analyses.
• Generate and maintain manufacturing drawings, tolerances, and technical documentation.
• Support tolerance stack‑up analyses and dimensional consistency throughout assemblies.
• Implement engineering changes and maintain CAD data and product structures.
