Astemo Ltd. in France seeks a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development of automotive power transmission components and electric brake actuators. You will lead design reviews, DFMEA activities, and drive DfM/DfA initiatives from concept through serial production.

Collaborating with suppliers, supporting prototypes, validation plans, and root cause analyses, you’ll ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and deliver robust, safe, and high-performance components.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in design and development of mechanical components in automotive or high-volume industries.
• Experience with power transmission systems and components such as ball screws, rolling-element bearings, seals and precision mechanical assemblies.
• Strong knowledge of tribology, lubrication, material selection and surface engineering.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of mechanical power transmission components for automotive actuators.
• Lead design reviews and DFMEA activities from concept to serial production.
• Collaborate with suppliers for component optimization and sourcing.
• Support prototypes, pilot production, and industrialization with issue resolution.
• Define and execute validation plans, investigate failures, and implement CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and reports.
