Astemo France S.A.S. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Paris engineering team, contributing to world-class power transmission components for automotive electric brake actuators and related systems.

You will lead design reviews, collaborate with international suppliers, and support prototype builds through industrialization, with focus on DFMEA, reliability, and automotive quality standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of design and development experience in automotive/mechanical components.
• Experience with power transmission systems and components (ball screws, bearings, seals).
• Strong tribology, lubrication, material selection and surface engineering knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical power transmission components for automotive electric brake actuators.
• Lead design reviews, DFMEA from concept to serial production with DfM/DfA/DfR initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop and optimize components and support sourcing activities.
• Support prototype builds, pilot production, and industrialization; resolve design/manufacturing issues.
• Define validation plans, investigate test failures, perform root-cause analyses and implement CAPAs.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, customer requirements, reliability targets.
