Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Paris is seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager to join the Camelia restaurant team. You will support the Restaurant Manager in all operational, administrative and financial aspects and assume full responsibility in their absence.

Based at the Camelia restaurant, you will oversee service, supervise staff, maintain menu knowledge and coordinate with kitchen, front office and housekeeping to ensure seamless operations. Fluent in English required, other languages a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Chef de Rang or similar role in hospitality.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, attentive and courteous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area according to established standards to ensure a warm welcome for guests.
• Oversee the smooth service of meals in the restaurant.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and handle any complaints or feedback professionally.
• Coordinate with various hotel departments (kitchen, front office, housekeeping, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in supervising daily service and operations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively.
• Help lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to maintain high service standards.

About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Paris within the Camelia restaurant, the Restaurant Assistant Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in all related operational, administrative and financial aspects of the outlet and assumes full responsibility in his absence.

As Restaurant Assistant Manager, We Expect From You

• Detail-oriented, well-organized, attentive, and courteous.
• Degree or diploma in hospitality management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven experience of at least 2 years as a Chef de Rang or similar position in the hospitality industry.
• Proactive mindset with enthusiasm and a sense of initiative and leadership.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
