Prysmian's Douvrin plant invites you to join an international R&D team focused on optical fiber preform manufacturing. You will drive APVD process development, qualification and scale-up, collaborating with Product R&D, Quality, Process Control and Manufacturing.

You will conduct experiments, analyze results, lead improvements in yield and costs, support production, and contribute to patents and technical benchmarking. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or MSc in relevant field; PhD is a plus.
• At least 3 years in industrial R&D, process development, manufacturing engineering or technology development.
• Knowledge of optical fiber manufacturing, glass processing, deposition technologies is an advantage.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop, optimize and industrialize Advanced Plasma Vapor Deposition processes.
• Participate in process qualification and validation with R&D, Quality, Process Control and Manufacturing teams.
• Lead continuous improvement focusing on yield, cost, robustness and operational excellence.
• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and implement recommendations.
• Support production teams by investigating deviations and performing root-cause analysis.
