Prysmian Group in Douvrin, France, is seeking an experienced engineer to drive APVD process development for optical fiber preforms, to qualify and scale-up manufacturing processes, and to transfer know-how across R&D and production teams.

You will join a multidisciplinary, international team, perform experiments, analyze results, conduct DoE studies and implement robust improvements, with a strong emphasis on safety and industrial performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or higher with 3+ years in industrial R&D or process development.
• Knowledge of optical fiber manufacturing, glass processing, and deposition technologies.
• Experience with DoE, process qualification and industrial qualification methodologies.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop, optimize and industrialize manufacturing processes for Advanced Plasma Vapor Deposition.
• Participate in process qualification and validation activities with cross-functional teams.
• Be part of a multidisciplinary team to guide future improvement projects.
• Conduct experiments, analyze results, and implement recommendations.
• As part of support to production teams, investigate process deviations and perform root-cause analysis.
