Mistral in Paris, France is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to lead design and delivery of production-grade AI systems. You will bridge product, engineering and business, turning complex requirements into scalable solutions that deliver measurable ROI across departments.

You will own end-to-end architecture, ship full-stack apps (Python/FastAPI, React), and work with modern GenAI use cases like RAG and agents.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years building and deploying production AI software.
• Strong full-stack engineer with Python/TypeScript, scalable backends (FastAPI/Node), and frontend (React/Vue).
• Hands-on with modern GenAI use cases: RAG, agents, workflows, orchestration and evaluation.
• Excellent communication in fluent English and ability to explain complex ideas across functions.

Responsabilités

• Run discovery with department heads and key users, map workflows and create a prioritized use-case backlog.
• Deliver end to end: design and ship production-grade full-stack apps (Python/FastAPI, React) and AI systems.
• Encode business rules, KPIs and ROI metrics as durable data assets and app logic.
• Internal adoption: dogfood the latest products and translate learnings into roadmap feedback.
• Own architecture for your surface: scalable, secure and observable with clean code.
• Spot patterns across departments and lift one-off solutions into reusable blocks.
