Mistral AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of production-grade AI systems across multiple departments. You will operate at the intersection of product, engineering and business, turning complex requirements into scalable solutions that deliver measurable ROI.

You will own architecture, ship end-to-end applications (Python/FastAPI, React), and drive adoption while maintaining high standards for code quality and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and deploying production AI software.
• Strong full-stack capabilities with Python/TypeScript and React.
• Hands-on with GenAI use cases: RAG, agents, workflows.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsabilités

• Run discovery with department heads and key users to map workflows and create a prioritized use-case backlog.
• Deliver end-to-end: design and ship production-grade full-stack apps and AI systems from scoping through deployment.
• Encode business rules, KPIs, and ROI metrics as durable datalake assets and app logic.
• Internal user: dogfood latest products and translate learnings into product feedback for the roadmap.
• Own architecture for your surface: ensure scalability, security, and observability with clean code.
• Spot patterns across departments and lift one-off solutions into reusable blocks.
