Tecumseh is seeking an Application Engineer (M/F) to support customers in the German-speaking market from France or Germany. You will act as the key interface between customers, sales teams and technical departments.

You will provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, perform tests and analyses, prepare reports for customers, and contribute to continuous improvement of Tecumseh products and services while building long-term relationships with European partners.

Qualifications

• Higher technical education in refrigeration or related field is expected.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with customers.
• Experience in a B2B industrial environment is preferred.

Application Engineer (M/F)

Location: France or Germany possible
Start date: September/October

To strengthen our proximity and support to customers in the German-speaking market, we are looking for a Application engineer.

As a key interface between customers, sales teams, and technical departments, you will provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle and contribute to building long-term relationships with our European partners.

With a strong field presence and a deep understanding of customer applications, you will support projects before, during, and after the sale, while contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Application Engineering

• Support Product Engineering projects by leveraging technical expertise, ensuring that the best application of Tecumseh products is delivered to customers.

• Provide technical support to customers before, during, and after the sales process.

• Analyze technical requirements and recommend the most suitable solutions.

• Support sales teams during customer visits, trade shows, and strategic meetings.

• Respond to technical inquiries and manage customer complaints requiring advanced technical expertise.

• Conduct tests, analyses, and technical evaluations.

• Prepare technical reports and documentation for customers.

• Act as the interface between customers and the R&D department.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in the analysis of quality issues reported from the field.

• Ensure the consistency and relevance of technical solutions proposed to customers.

• Monitor customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of products and services.

• Collaborate closely with quality, sales, and technical teams to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Business Development & Customer Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers and partners.

• Deliver technical seminars, training sessions, and customer presentations.

• Contribute to the identification of new business opportunities and prospecting activities.

• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional meetings.

• Maintain active market awareness regarding industry trends and customer needs.

Candidate Profile

• Higher technical education (Engineering degree or equivalent), preferably with a specialization in refrigeration and cooling technologies.

• Significant experience in a B2B industrial environment.

• Proven ability to develop and maintain high-level customer relationships.

• Strong technical mindset combined with a commercial and field-oriented approach.

• Fluent in German and English.

• Good knowledge of the German market, its industrial players, and business culture.

• Ability to thrive in an international and multicultural environment.

• Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills.*

€55,000 - €60,000 gross annual salary
