Job summary

Braintrust seeks an RF IC design engineer to design passive components (spiral inductors, transformers) to spec, run EM simulations, and iterate to meet targets. You will write specs, develop reference designs, and build automated checks that re-simulate layouts against the specs.

You will collaborate across teams, work with open-source tools (KLayout, openEMS, ngspice) and Python-based automation. European/NA/U.S. locations considered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on RF IC design, including passive layouts (spiral inductors, transformers).
• Experience running EM simulations and interpreting S-parameters.
• Proficiency with GDS layouts and S-parameter files.
• Python scripting for simulations and checks.

Responsibilities

• Write new eval tasks with specs and reference designs.
• Create automatic checks re-simulating layouts against specs.
• Start with a pilot of tasks and iterate with the team.
