Job summary

Chipiron in France seeks a senior engineer to lead analog and RF design, modeling, and validation of complex systems. You will guide the RF team, drive simulations and test campaigns, and collaborate across departments to ensure EMI-compliant hardware.

The role requires hands-on experience with measurement tools, strong planning and communication skills, and proficiency in Python and English. This position is based in France and involves close cross-functional work.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in designing, simulating, and testing analog and RF circuits.
• Experience with low-noise systems or signal acquisition chains.
• Understanding of EM principles and interfacing with digital control systems.
• Excellent planning and communication; capable of guiding research and reporting results across stakeholders.
• Experience with PCB design, cable shielding, and EMI management.
• Hands-on use of oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, simulation, and validation of complex analog and RF electronic systems.
• Lead and mentor RF systems team; coordinate daily activities, managing project assignments, timelines, and milestones to meet the company’s goals efficiently.
• Lead or contribute to the design of RF coils, transmit/receive chain optimization, and electromagnetic system tuning and their characterization.
• Contribute directly to the development of analog/RF hardware, including PCB schematic and layout design, cabling, shielding, grounding and system integration tasks.
• Design and perform controlled measurements of electronic noise spectral densities, transfer functions (DC to microwaves) and several other observables to identify dominant noise source in the output signal in order to mitigate them.
• Oversee the characterization and testing of electronic components and systems using test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Translate experimental findings into clear documentation, providing actionable guidelines for integration of electronic solutions.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to align system-level development efforts and integration planning.
