Job summary

Ampleon is seeking a highly skilled RF Application Engineer to join its NPI Multi‑Market team, based in Nijmegen or Toulouse. You will design, simulate and validate advanced RF power reference designs, collaborating with customers to define requirements and deliver robust demos, while supporting integration and reliability across international sites.

Strong expertise in RF power amplifiers (100 W+), simulations (ADS/MWO, 3D EM) and PCB prototyping is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in RF design.
• For Nijmegen location: at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• For Toulouse location: significant professional experience in RF design is required.
• Experience with high‑power amplifier design (>100 W), PCB layout, prototyping and troubleshooting.
• Understand specifics of all classes of operation and the ability to design them.
• Experience with RF simulation tools such as ADS/MWO and 3D EM simulation.
• Experience with all regular RF equipment and measurement techniques.
• For Nijmegen location: proven track record of completing multiple successful complex integrations of products in customer applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulation and performance measurements of advanced high performing demo boards.
• Define with the customer the key requirements for their specific reference design and evaluate this reference design accordingly.
• Technically support our customers to ensure a successful integration of our products in the customer environment (RF performance, matching, thermal design, reliability, lifetime).
• Address and solve with the customer their most complex system issues.
• Writing Application Notes on specific features and usage of our products.
• Do detailed benchmarking of our products against competing products to determine competitive edge.
• Propose and define innovative products based on customer interactions to meet market trends.
• Actively build and maintain a network of contacts in own and related fields to gain and share knowledge.
• Participation in customer visits at Ampleon sites and customer sites.
• Operate in an international environment with over 35 nationalities in cross‑functional teams.
