Job summary

Qualifications

European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading semicon company, based in Caen, who are looking for a talented Senior System Architect (RF/mmW) to join their team.

In this role you will drive product specification and architectural definition of complex RF/mmW communication systems, ensuring cutting-edge performance and reliability for next-generation breakthrough communication IC products.

Responsibilities as Senior System Architect (RF/mmW):

• Lead the system-level architecture exploration and definition of new semiconductor IC products, encompassing RF/mmW, analog and digital functions.
• Conduct detailed system analysis, requirements gathering, and specification development, translating product requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and risk assessments for proposed RF system architectures.
• Collaborate closely with design, V&V teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of system components.
• Develop and implement system-level test plans and strategies to ensure robust functionality and performance.
• Act as a key technical interface with customers, understanding their needs and translating them into technical requirements and solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in system engineering processes and methodologies.
• Contribute to intellectual property generation through patent disclosures and technical publications.
• Contribute towards wireless technology standardization efforts.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Communication Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product definition and system engineering of wireline and/or RF/mmW wireless communication IC product.
• Strong expertise in programming and modeling - C, C++, MATLAB, Python.
• Solid experience in digital or analog communication system specification, performance assessment and trade-off analysis.
• Individual hands-on contributor but works closely with team members from diverse cultures and geographies.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation capability.
