Mistral is seeking AI Scientists to advance agentic tooling for CAE and EDA tasks. You will build pretraining data, verifiers, and agent scaffolding for training frontier LLMs that reason about engineering workflows.

Collaborate with CAE/EDA domain experts, design evaluation benchmarks, and shape architectures to enable reliable multi-step reasoning in CAD, CFD, and semiconductor contexts. Early-stage work with high impact across the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with ability to explain ML and engineering concepts clearly.
• Deep, hands-on ML expertise, particularly in LLM development.
• Proven experience running, debugging, and validating engineering workflows (CAD, CAE, EDA).
• Proficient Python coding; comfortable in Linux/HPC environments.
• Self-directed; can advance work with minimal direction.
• Low-ego, collaborative, and eager to learn at the interface of engineering and ML.

Responsabilités

• Design pretraining, SFT, and RL data for engineering tasks across CAD, CAE, and semiconductor/EDA.
• Define verifiers and evaluation criteria for 'correct' and 'high-quality' results.
