Mistral is seeking AI Scientists with deep ML expertise to expand agentic tools across the engineering lifecycle, including CAE and EDA. You will build data, verifiers, and agent scaffolding to shape reliable model behavior, shaping the foundation for future research and productization.

You will collaborate with CAE/EDA domain experts and the broader research team to ground this work in real engineering tasks, designing training signals and evaluation benchmarks that reflect genuine task

Qualifications

• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• Deep, hands-on ML expertise, particularly LLM development.
• Experience running, debugging, and validating real engineering workflows.

Responsabilités

• Design pretraining, SFT, and RL data for engineering tasks across CAD, CAE, and semiconductor/EDA.
• Define verifiers and evaluation criteria for engineering tasks.
• Design and improve agent architectures and harnesses for long-horizon workflows.
• Build evaluation benchmarks and diagnostic tooling to identify model failures.
• Collaborate with domain experts to target high-value engineering workflows.
• Contribute to broader pre and post-training research and publish findings.
