Mistral AI is seeking Applied Scientists to push AI-driven physics simulations. You will join cross-functional teams to build and deploy AI Physics Models alongside LLM offerings, tackling CFD, structural mechanics, semiconductor design, and digital twins.

Responsibilities cover data curation, training, evaluation, and delivering production-grade AI solutions to engineering clients. You will collaborate with research, product, and customer teams to meet engineering standards.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in AI or engineering science.
• Fluent English with strong communication.
• Proficient in Python; PyTorch or JAX.
• Experience with Linux/HPC environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsabilités

• Design and run large-scale simulation campaigns using domain-specific solvers (e.g. OpenFOAM, ANSYS, COMSOL, Abaqus).
• Train AI models on physics data with rigorous evaluation of coverage, accuracy, and quality.
• Build tools and frameworks for automated dataset creation, simulation pipeline management, and model evaluation.
• Develop agents and RAG that integrate LLMs with engineering simulation workflows.
• Collaborate with the science/research team on training runs and diagnose failure modes from data gaps or architecture limitations.
• Manage research projects and client communications with engineering teams.
