Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise customer environments. You'll work with a Deployment Strategist to co-build production deployments from day one.

You’ll ship real AI-powered capabilities, own end-to-end components, and collaborate with customers to drive measurable business impact. Travel about 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or delivery experience, with at least one production system you can walk us through.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering).
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex and willing to add others as needed.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering; you can explain why a prompt failed and what you would change.
• Understand data modeling, APIs and integration patterns deeply enough to design them, not just consume them.
• Able to hold your own in a room with sales teams and customer architects.
• You ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
• Willing to travel ~25% to work directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise customer environments, shipping real code in production.
• Co-build with a Deployment Strategist to translate customer business challenges into actionable AI solutions.
• Handle configuration, customization, and full-stack deployment for customer deployments.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Develop agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting to track deployment health and outcomes.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that move from sketch to deployable in days.
• Co-create with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement as you go.
• Surface platform gaps and field insights to engineers and the product team.
