Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Tender Controller for its Grid Integration business in Europe. Based in Vaasa, FI, or Västerås, SE, you will provide robust financial control and analysis for projects and tenders, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost management, and risk mitigation to drive profitable growth.

You will develop financial models for project profitability, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with tender managers and sales. Fluency in English is required; Finnish/Swedish are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years in project or tender controlling.
• Strong understanding of project accounting principles (e.g., % of completion, revenue recognition).
• Proficiency in SAP FI/CO and PS modules and advanced MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluency in English; Finnish or Swedish is a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support tender processes with accurate cost estimates and profitability analyses.
• Develop financial models for project profitability, cash flow, exposure and working capital.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies and risk reviews.
• Collaborate with tender managers, sales and stakeholders to provide financial insights.
• Monitor tender KPIs, including exposure and margin analysis.
• Participate in audits with necessary financial documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in project controlling.
• Manage currency risk exposure and hedging in tender stage.
• Advise on contractual setups including consortiums, export financing, bonds, LCs.
