Job summary

Hitachi Energy's Grid & Power Quality Solutions and Service business in Europe seeks a Tender Controller in Vaasa (FI) or Västerås (SE). You will provide robust financial control for projects and tenders, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost management, and risk mitigation to enable profitable growth.

Responsibilities include building financial models for profitability, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring IFRS compliance. Collaboration with tender managers and sales teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years in project controlling or tender controlling in a project-based industry.
• Strong understanding of project accounting principles (e.g., percentage of completion, revenue recognition).
• Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO, PS modules) and advanced MS Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Finnish/Swedish a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support tender processes with accurate cost estimations, risk assessments, and profitability analyses.
• Develop and maintain financial models for project profitability, cash flow, exposure, and working capital.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies, and assist in audits.
• Collaborate with tender managers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights.
• Monitor tender project performance KPIs, including margin analysis and project risks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in project controlling and tender management.
• Manage currency risk exposure and hedging strategies in tender stages.
• Advise on contractual set-ups including consortiums, export financing, bonds, and letters of credit.
