Job summary

SMC Automation Oy in Espoo invites an experienced Distribution Sales Specialist to drive sales through Finland's distributor network. You will translate distributor strategy into practical plans, coordinate training, and build strong relationships with key partners in the automation sector.

You will collaborate with regional sales, inside sales and engineers to grow distributor performance, participate in cross-functional initiatives and help shape budgeting and long-term plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in value-based B2B technical sales.
• Background in pneumatics or automation.
• Familiarity with distribution sales.
• Fluent in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Translate distributor strategy into practical plans and actions to drive sales through the distributor channel.
• Plan and execute customer account transfers and ensure distributor training and competence development.
• Initiate and drive local activities and campaigns.
• Prepare distributor agreements, monitor distributor performance and contribute to budgeting/annual and long-term plans.
• Build and develop relationships with large and strategic distributors.
• Identify and propose new collaboration opportunities aligned with the distributor strategy.
• Ensure smooth cooperation with internal functions to support distributor success.
• Participate in cross-functional sales initiatives related to the distributor channel.
• Prepare analyses and recommendations based on distributor performance and market opportunities.
