Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments across multiple sites. You will ensure aseptic packaging, coordinate case carts, and serve as a clinical liaison between Operating Rooms and CSS departments across the health system.

Responsibilities include daily coordination, process improvement projects, and global instrument tray procurement to support the Enterprise.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience required; 2–4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between Operating Room and Sterile Processing to optimize case flow.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of reprocessed surgical inventory.
• Serve as liaison across multiple sterile processing sites to ensure aseptic packaging and delivery.
• Order, procure, and organize instrument trays on a global level for the Enterprise.
