Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Quality based in Finland to help build AI-powered testing across a fully remote, global engineering org.

You will design, build, and operate AI agents that support test design, generation, execution, maintenance, and failure triage, while ensuring reliable, scalable tooling. You will shape evaluation methods for AI outputs, collaborate with product teams, and drive adoption of quality tooling across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building and owning test infrastructure or tooling.
• Experience with LLMs or agent frameworks and evaluating AI outputs.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and CI at scale.
• Ability to influence engineering teams and drive tool adoption.
• Deep product understanding to build quality solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication in a distributed environment.
• Experience with Java, TypeScript, or Python; Kubernetes and Helm advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AI agents across the testing lifecycle: design, generation, maintenance, execution, and failure triage.
• Own infrastructure to make agent-driven testing reliable, including environments, data, interfaces, guardrails, and cost controls.
• Establish reliable evaluation methods for AI outputs to earn trust across engineering teams.
• Apply AI-driven evaluation to non-deterministic and AI-powered features of the platform.
• Work with product teams to ensure testing tools stay relevant to real product needs.
• Develop reusable testing patterns, tooling, and enablement practices for autonomy.
• Drive adoption of quality engineering across teams and influence broader directions.
• Contribute to system design and continuous improvement of testing infra.
