Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Proven experience in commercial management of design and build contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms and dispute resolution.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex subcontract agreements and provide commercial guidance.
• Sound understanding of risk management and contractual practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and implement the commercial strategy for assigned projects.
• Lead procurement activities, including tender preparation and subcontractor engagement.
• Prepare and present accurate financial forecasts, valuations and cash flow projections.
• Manage variations, claims, and ensure contractual compliance.
• Monitor project risk and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies as required.
• Produce and agree final accounts and ensure compliance across all contracts.
• Oversee reporting on commercial performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
• Mentor and support junior commercial team members, promoting collaboration and development.
