Qualifications

• Direct experience building and operating agentic systems in production.
• Ownership of substantial parts of an agent runtime, harness or orchestration platform.
• Experience with agents that perform multi-step work through tools and external systems.
• Strong understanding of agent failure modes including looping and context loss.
• Experience with durable state, suspension, resumption and recovery.
• Experience building agent evaluations, trajectory analysis or regression suites.
• Experience debugging production behavior from traces and tool calls.
• Strong judgment about when to use model reasoning vs deterministic logic or human review.

Responsibilities

• Own agent runtime and orchestration architecture.
• Plan multi-step workflows, decompose tasks and control execution.
• Select models, route tasks and implement fallbacks.
• Choose tools, invoke them and verify results.
• Manage agent state, memory and durable resumption.
• Implement human-in-the-loop controls for ambiguity and risk.
• Recover from model, tool and workflow failures.
• Trace, replay and debug across agent trajectories.
• Design evaluations for task completion, safety and regression.
• Enforce guardrails, permissions and approval flows.
• Provide platform primitives to build additional agents.
