Job summary

Benjamin is shaping the future of rewards through advanced agentic systems. We seek a Senior Platform Engineer to own large portions of our agent runtime and orchestration platform, ensuring reliable multi-step work with external tools.

You will design robust fault handling, durable state, and governance for high-risk actions while collaborating across data, cloud, and software teams. You will lead development of agent evaluations, traceability and performance optimizations, delivering

Qualifications

• Direct experience building and operating agentic systems in production.
• Ownership of substantial parts of an agent runtime, harness or orchestration platform.
• Experience with agents that perform multi-step work through tools and external systems.
• Strong understanding of agent failure modes including looping and context loss.
• Experience with durable state, suspension, resumption and recovery.
• Experience building agent evaluations, trajectory analysis or regression suites.
• Experience debugging production behavior from traces and tool calls.
• Strong judgment about when to use model reasoning vs deterministic logic or human review.

Responsibilities

• Enforce guardrails, permissions and approval flows.
• Provide platform primitives to build additional agents.

What you’ll do

• Agent runtime and orchestration architecture
• Multi-step planning, task decomposition and execution control
• Model selection, routing and fallback
• Tool selection, invocation and result verification
• Agent state, context, memory and durable resumption
• Human-in-the-loop controls for ambiguity and high-risk actions
• Recovery from model, tool and workflow failures
• Tracing, replay and debugging across agent trajectories
• Evaluations for task completion, correctness, safety and regression
• Guardrails, permissions and approval flows
• Platform primitives used to build additional agents and workflows

What we’re looking for

• Direct experience building and operating agentic systems in production
• Hands-on ownership of substantial parts of an agent runtime, harness or orchestration platform
• Experience with agents that perform multi-step work through tools and external systems
• Strong understanding of agent failure modes, including looping, tool misuse, context loss, false completion and partial execution
• Experience with durable state, suspension, resumption and recovery
• Experience building agent evaluations, trajectory analysis or regression suites
• Experience debugging production behavior from traces, tool calls and execution history
• Strong judgment about when to use model reasoning, deterministic logic or human review
• A record of shipping ambitious agent capabilities and owning their production performance
