Job summary

Benjamin in Finland is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to scale our data platform and support MoMo rewards. You will build end-to-end data pipelines, leverage Snowflake and AWS, and implement dbt-driven transformations, while shipping infrastructure as code and mentoring the team.

You will own production pipelines, focus on observability, cost management, and reliable delivery, collaborating across product, analytics, and partnerships in a fast-growing fintech.

Qualifications

• Experience building production data pipelines across product, payment, and analytics systems.
• Strong Python and SQL, with data modeling and schema evolution.
• Production experience with Snowflake and AWS.
• Software engineering fundamentals: Git, testing, CI/CD, Docker.
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform), a transformation framework (dbt or similar).
• Fluency in observability, failure recovery, security, and cloud cost management.
• Bias toward simple, practical solutions and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build integrations across product, payment, advertising, and partner systems.
• Own the flow in both directions: pipelines into Snowflake, and reverse ETL back out into operational systems.
• Build event-driven, high-frequency ingestion for real-time and async processing.
• Model and transform data with dbt into clean, reusable datasets that analytics/ML can trust.
• Turn platform gaps into production infrastructure, not one-off scripts.
• Ship cloud infra as code and CI/CD, own services end-to-end from schema to deployment.
• Monitor production systems for failures, freshness, quality, latency, performance, and cost; improve alerts and recovery.
• Mentor others and set data engineering standards.
