Job summary

AlphaSense is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help define and build shared, API-first product platforms that power various product surfaces. In this role, you'll focus on building essential APIs and lead development of agentic workflows.

The position emphasizes hands-on engineering, cross-team collaboration, and mentoring senior engineers. You'll work closely with product teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of APIs while solving complex problems in production.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering working on applications and backend systems.
• Experience building product platforms consumed by multiple product teams.
• Proven track record of designing and operating APIs at scale.

• Act as technical owner for API-first architecture across the company.
• Design and evolve high-scale APIs for internal teams and external customers.
