Barona Teollisuus Oy is recruiting a Lead Mechanical Engineer for Compute Nordic. You will act as technical authority for mechanical systems in data center projects, coordinating with clients, partners and internal teams to deliver reliable, cutting-edge cooling solutions.

We seek a candidate with 10+ years in mechanical engineering for mission-critical infrastructure, strong HVAC knowledge, and excellent English. The role involves remote/EU travel up to 30% and collaboration across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years in mechanical engineering for critical infrastructure.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical industries.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, cooling technologies and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and coordination of mechanical systems for data center projects.
• Provide technical expertise in HVAC, fire protection, and advanced cooling.
• Support air-to-liquid and liquid-to-liquid cooling system designs for high-density computing.
• Review and approve technical documentation and deliverables.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and factory acceptance activities.
• Act as primary technical contact for stakeholders throughout project lifecycle.
