Job summary

Ramboll in Finland is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of data center cooling and HVAC infrastructure. You will join the Nordics DataCenterFacilities group and collaborate with specialists across the globe to create sustainable, high-performance solutions.

You will mentor engineering teams, provide trusted client advisory on cooling strategy and future-ready data center design, and thrive in a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with designing or constructing datacenter facilities.
• Experience working as a consulting mechanical engineer.
• A thorough understanding of digital design delivery through Revit/BIM 360.
• Excellent communicator capable of explaining complex technical concepts to clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of data center cooling and HVAC infrastructure.
• Develop innovative thermal management solutions for AI, HPC, hyperscale, and colocation facilities.
• Ensure cooling systems achieve resilience, efficiency, sustainability, and uptime targets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams across multiple projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on cooling strategy, liquid cooling adoption, and future-ready data center design.
