Job summary

TwoScore - HSEQ Recruitment is seeking a Safety Advisor to support major European construction projects. You will provide practical SHEQ guidance to site delivery teams, helping maintain high health, safety, quality and environmental standards across the construction phase.

The role involves working closely with subcontractors and operations to influence sites, review plans, conduct audits, and support continuous safety improvement. Fluency in English and EU eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong health, safety, environmental and quality culture across project activities.
• Provide day-to-day SHEQ support and guidance to site and project teams.
• Support the development and implementation of construction phase plans, health and safety files and project-specific quality plans.
• Review subcontractor SHEQ documentation and ensure appropriate requirements are in place prior to works commencing.
• Review safety, environmental and quality documentation to ensure appropriate standards are maintained.
• Carry out regular site inspections and SHEQ audits, reporting findings and supporting corrective actions.
• Participate in project pre-start and pre-commencement meetings.
• Support compliance with relevant statutory requirements and ISO management systems.
• Work closely with project teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders to identify and manage SHEQ risks.
• Coach and support operational teams to improve SHEQ performance and encourage continuous improvement.

Safety Advisor - Europe

Location: Europe – Finland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Germany & Netherlands

Salary: €60,000-€75,000 plus accomodation, rotation, travel

About the Opportunity

We’re supporting an established international construction specialist with the appointment of Safety Advisors across a number of major projects in Europe.

Working as part of the site delivery team, you’ll provide practical SHEQ support throughout the construction phase, helping maintain high standards across health and safety, quality and environmental performance. The positions offer the opportunity to work on complex international construction projects alongside experienced project and safety teams.

This would suit a Safety professional who enjoys being close to project delivery, working directly with operational teams and subcontractors to positively influence standards on site.

The Key Responsibilities of the Safety Advisor

What's needed:-

• A recognised occupational health and safety or SHEQ qualification.
• Previous Safety or SHEQ experience within the construction sector.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience working with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Experience carrying out site audits, inspections and subcontractor compliance reviews.
• A practical, site-focused approach with the confidence to engage and influence project teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent English.
• Existing right to work within the EU without sponsorship.
