Job summary

Design Build Search seeks a Safety Advisor for the construction sector in Helsinki, rotating to Groningen and other locations. The role focuses on implementing SMS, risk assessments, and safety reporting.

Expect active site engagement with lifting operations, cranes, and electrical works, with training and a clear path to a permanent position. You will liaise with site teams, prepare plans, conduct audits, and promote a proactive EHS culture.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field (Honors preferred).
• Experience on site as a proactive safety advisor for electrical, cranes and heavy lifting works.
• Willingness to travel to Groningen on a 17/4 roster; weekends off.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Prepare safety statements, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Advise site management in drafting Safe Plans of Action and Toolbox Talks.
• Support site teams in adhering to EHS policies and procedures.
