Job summary

Comatec Group seeks an AVEVA E3D Piping and Layout Designer to join our shipbuilding team in Finland. You will contribute to projects in the marine industry by creating piping layouts and cable tray designs and collaborating with equipment suppliers.

You bring a mechanical engineering background, strong AVEVA E3D skills, and experience with libraries and shipbuilding layouts. English proficiency is required, and Finnish knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong proficiency in AVEVA E3D design software.
• Experience creating component and material libraries in AVEVA E3D.
• Experience in piping or cable tray design in shipbuilding or industrial projects.
• Systematic, accurate, and persistent approach to work.
• Strong collaboration and communication with other designers.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and carry design work to completion.
• Experience in layout design for machinery spaces or electrical rooms is a plus.
• Shipbuilding familiarity and classification societies knowledge is advantageous.
• Good command of English; Finnish language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design piping or cable tray routing and space layouts using AVEVA E3D.
• Manage space reservation planning.
• Prepare pipe isometric drawings and production drawings.
• Collaborate with other designers and equipment suppliers.
