Job summary

Comatec is seeking a systems designer to strengthen our team in Helsinki area, focusing on ship machinery and HVAC systems. You will contribute to development and maintenance, including system design, equipment selection, testing and procurement.

You bring experience in machinery or HVAC design, sizing, material selection and testing. You will act as technical expert and liaise with production, shipowners and suppliers; experience with shipbuilding or classification societies is a plus.

Qualifications

• A degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant field.
• Experience with technical systems or processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good command of English (Finnish language skills are considered an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Design and development of machinery or HVAC systems; system design and management.
• Selection of equipment and components; testing and procurement.
• Communicate as the technical expert with production, shipowner and suppliers.
