Job summary

Nordecon Oy is building a data center in Riihimäki, Finland, and seeks a build manager to be the owner’s representative, overseeing schedule, budget, contracts and interfaces with grid, suppliers and authorities. This permanent role offers on-site leadership and a path to build a dedicated team as the project and operations progress.

The candidate should have a technical degree or equivalent experience, at least 8 years on the owner’s side of industrial/technical projects, and strong knowledge

Qualifications

• A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in construction/electrical/building services engineering.
• Proven experience on owner’s side in large industrial/technical facility projects (8+ years).
• Strong grasp of electrical infrastructure, grid connections and transformer stations.
• Experience with construction contracts and contract management (YSE 1998).
• Demonstrated schedule and cost control experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the project schedule, budget and overall delivery as the owner’s representative.
• Direct and coordinate contractors, designers and equipment suppliers.
• Own the electrical infrastructure, grid interface, transformer station, backup power and commissioning.
• Manage permit processes and cooperation with authorities.
• Ensure occupational safety and regulatory compliance on site.
• Drive commissioning inspections and handover to operating organization.
• Report to management and assess resourcing needs for build and operations.
