Job summary

Nordecon Oy in Riihimäki is converting an industrial bakery into a data centre for AI and HPC workloads. We seek a hands-on Data Center Deployment Engineer to build and run the facility, owning procedures rather than following existing ones.

You will plan and oversee installation of servers, storage, networking, and power; coordinate with vendors; configure and troubleshoot; write documentation; participate in ISO 27001 work and support operators once live. Finnish fluency required.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience deploying and operating data centre infrastructure.
Strong Linux skills.
Fluent Finnish and good English.
Willingness to be on site in Riihimäki and to take part in an on-call rotation once the site is live.
Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field or equivalent experience earned on the job.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee the installation of data centre infrastructure: servers, storage, networking and power systems
Coordinate with vendors and contractors on procurement, installation, commissioning and acceptance testing
Configure, integrate and troubleshoot systems to keep them performing
Work with environmental and monitoring systems — cooling, power distribution, alarms
Carry out site assessments and make sure we meet safety and industry standards
Write and maintain the documentation: design records, installation procedures, and the operating procedures the site will run on
Take part in our ISO/IEC 27001 certification work. Building the operational procedures and controls that certification is based on, not just following them
As the team grows, support and guide our data centre technicians
