IQM Quantum Computers in Espoo, Finland seeks a mid-level Quantum Engineer, Fabrication to drive fabrication process development for next‑gen quantum chips. You will collaborate across R&D, design and production to transform breakthroughs into scalable manufacturing.

Lead structured experiments, analyze data, and mentor engineers while advancing new fabrication technologies in a hybrid work model with flexible hours.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of micro- or nanofabrication experience with 2+ years in R&D/tech development in quantum or semiconductor tech.
• Deep expertise in quantum chip or advanced semiconductor fabrication processes; experience validating new techniques.
• Strong experimental mindset with structured investigations and evidence-based decisions.
• Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and driving long-term technical initiatives.

Aufgaben

• Lead development and optimization of quantum chip fabrication processes via structured experiments and data-driven iteration.
• Design, execute, and analyze hypothesis-driven experiments to test materials, fabrication methods and process flows.
• Assess feasibility, risks and integration strategies for future QPU architectures.
• Collaborate with Design, Calibration, Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Chip Production, and Cleanroom teams to productionize new technologies.
• Mentor Process Engineers and Technicians, supporting experimental design and safe, transparent engineering culture.
• Document knowledge through patents, technical reports, and publications; help transition R&D to scalable manufacturing.
