Job summary

IQM Finland Oy is seeking a Quantum Engineer (Mid-level to Senior) to develop readout techniques for superconducting quantum processors and to advance quantum error correction. Based in Espoo with possible collaboration with our Munich team, you will work across hardware, software, and theory, turning research into scalable quantum hardware and software.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent industry experience in physics or a related field (required).
• Experience with qubits readout techniques and circuit QED concepts.
• Proven publication record in relevant quantum physics topics.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test new readout techniques for quantum processors, including mid-circuit and terminal readout.
• Develop calibration methods and benchmarking workflows.
• Translate findings into improvements in QPU design and hardware.
