Job summary

Fermion Oy, a subsidiary of Orion, is seeking a Production Development Engineer for its Hanko plant to maintain and develop the plant's process equipment and participate in the design, procurement and commissioning of new facilities. You will train production personnel, perform risk assessments and prepare instructions, while collaborating with equipment suppliers.

The role is located in Hanko and involves close cooperation with maintenance and project teams to drive continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education (Engineer or MSc in Technology).
• Previous work experience in industrial tasks.
• Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and/or process technology.
• Good documentation skills and proficiency with information systems.
• Strong Finnish and English verbal and written communication; working language is Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement of production operations.
• Lead and support development and process improvement projects.
• Identify and implement solutions that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
• Support the introduction of new technologies and working methods.
