Job summary

Atlan is a venture studio in Finland seeking a co-founder who will build the first product from scratch. You will own design, build, and priorities in a close collaboration with the founder and a business developer to turn an early concept into a real product.

You will ship a working product to early users, shape the roadmap, and scale the effort as the company grows. Equity plus salary is offered; you must be based in Finland.

For a new venture we have not named yet.

The situation

An old sector still runs on phone calls, emails and habits nobody has changed for years. A small team inside Atlan has a concept for changing that, and the first customers are already asking to be onboarded. There is one problem: nothing has been built yet. That would be your job.

We are deliberately not naming the venture or the sector here. You do not need experience in the domain. We tell you everything in the first conversation.

The team

The founder is a determined people person who gets things done. She will bring you what users are saying, often in their own words and sometimes before there is anything resembling a plan.

The business developer opens doors and handles the commercial groundwork.

We are Atlan, the venture studio behind the company. We build resource-smart businesses and stay in them, with capital, operations, experts, and people who have the founders’ backs when things get difficult.

The open seat is for someone who can build the product.

Your first 90 days

Week one: a laptop, a concept and users waiting.

End of month one: a working product in the hands of real users. It can be simple and rough. It cannot be broken.

End of month three: a second version, shaped by what users actually did rather than what they said they would do.

After that, you own the product: design, build, and priorities, until the company grows and you hire people to take parts of it off your plate.

You will hate this if

• You need a specification and clarity before you can start.
• You need somebody else to hold the plan; for a while you are the only builder.
• Ten ideas in a week feel like ten commitments; here you hear ten, ship one, and say no to nine, to a founder you like.
• You keep feelings and personal lives strictly outside work. In this team, noticing how the others are doing is part of the work.

The non-negotiable part

You have shipped a working software product from concept to first users as the only builder, with high standards for the user experience. We will ask to see it. This is a co-founder commitment, not a side project or an advisory role. You need to be based in Finland.

Strong advantages: you build quickly with AI-assisted tools and vibe coding; you think like a product manager; you scope, sequence and say no.

Previous co-founder experience is very useful, but not required.
