Job summary

Plywood This Week is building Woodrow One and expanding the legacy plywood insights platform. You will shape and ship products from idea to live software, taking ownership across two evolving offerings for an international audience.

As a product-minded full stack developer, you’ll design architecture, talk to customers, and help grow the company from its early stages while pursuing a long-term CTO trajectory.

• Own two products: Plywood This Week and Woodrow One, from concept to delivery.
• Take technical ownership, maintain and extend the existing SaaS platform, and shape MVP architecture.
• Talk to customers, iterate on features, and help build the company as well as the software.

Job description

We are looking for a product-minded full stack developer to help build a new software platform for the international wood trade.

Today, global plywood trade still relies heavily on email, spreadsheets and long-standing personal relationships. We believe starting new international trade relationships should be dramatically easier.

That's why we're building Woodrow One.

Woodrow connects industrial buyers with relevant producers through a demand-driven platform designed around trust, structured quotations and long-term business relationships.

About us

Before Woodrow, we built Plywood This Week, a market intelligence platform covering the global plywood industry.

Building that platform gave us a unique understanding of how international plywood trade actually works, and where the biggest friction still exists.

Now we're building the next company.

What you'll do

Initially you'll own two products.

Plywood This Week

• Take technical ownership from our external developer.
• Maintain and gradually improve the existing SaaS platform.
• Continue developing features together with the team.

Woodrow One

• Build our MVP from the ground up.
• Shape the architecture together with the founder.
• Help design the future trust and payment layer.
• Talk to customers.
• Challenge ideas.
• Build the company, not just the software.

Who you are

You're probably not looking for another corporate development job.

You enjoy building products from scratch.

You like discussing ideas on a whiteboard just as much as implementing them in code.

You think about the customer before thinking about the technology.

You enjoy understanding how businesses work and aren't afraid to enter a traditional industry if the product opportunity is exciting.

You don't need to know anything about plywood.

But you should be curious enough to understand the customers you're building for.

You care about shipping products, learning quickly and continuously improving them.

Tech

We're currently evaluating the technology stack together.

The right architecture is more important than a particular framework.

Location

The role is based primarily in Lahti. We work with a flexible hybrid model, and part of the work can be done remotely, for example from the Helsinki metropolitan area or elsewhere in Finland.
